Ponte Bernardo

Ponte Bernardo

Here they are at the second site, waiting for the espresso to kick in. This was where Casanova beat up a guy named Razzetta, Grimani’s henchman who wasn’t happy when Casanova sold off his deceased grandmother’s furniture. Yeah, kind of a long story, though definitely entertaining! It also involves a faked sprained ankle, a lantern carrier with a broken hand, a prison cell at Sant’Andrea, and some drunk wardens. You’ll have to read my book!

I am so enjoying your posts. Your enthusiasm is infectious. We were similar guinea pigs after the fact years ago. In the summer of ’73 we went to England for a month and followed wlaks in the book Turn Left at the Pub. About a week into the trip, we ran in to the author” daughter (he had since died) and her husband and they were updating the book so we were able to describe where we had run into problems. It was fun!
