I’ll be speaking about Casanova and my new Venice guidebook Seductive Venice: In Casanova’s Footsteps at the Italian American Heritage Foundation on Tuesday, April 16 at 7:00. Please come out for an evening of Italian culture and history. In fact, there will even be a quiz! (What teacher can resist giving a quiz?) Hope to see you there!
More book promotion events on the calendar:
Sunday 5/5: Santa Clara Public Library. I’ll be presenting with Bob Tower, local historian, artist, and writer, on self-publishing.
Thursday 5/9: Woodside Priory School Insight Series. I’ll again be talking about the Venice-Casanova connection from 7:00 to 8:30. Father Martin will create his delicious pizza!
This summer I’ll have an event at the Museo Italo Americano in San Francisco, probably in July, one at the Sacramento Italian Society some time in the summer, and a fall event at Bookshop Santa Cruz.
Me with Marco Zecchin, promoting our books at the Sacramento Italian Society in 2003, after the publication of Free Gondola Ride and Marco’s book The Spirit of Northern Italy.
