My friend Piero recently sent me this photo that he took. Can you guess where he is?
(Bert, can you give the rest of my readers a 24-hour running start before you give the answer?) 🙂

I know. :o)
I once saw a fully dressed wedding gondola there, with two gondoliers in formal gondolier attire, waiting for their bride and groom. It was an unexpected treat.
The answer to where he is:
He’s in the campanile of the church of the Frari (Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari).
He’s overlooking the campo of the same name, shooting from the second tallest campanile in the city – you can see the shadow of the tower cutting through the campo.
Greg is in there like a Ferrari – which I was going to give as a cryptic clue. I wonder how Piero got up there, as it’s not open to the public.
Ah, I knew my readers would come through with the answer! Bert, thank you for the creative hint idea! Next time, I won’t ask you to wait!
