Casanova, Ambassador Yesterday and Today

image1

Albert Gardin is promoting this event to celebrate Venice’s illustrious native son. If you’re in Venice on April 2, please attend and then tell me how it went! I wish I could be there but will have to toast Giacomo from California.

Albert Gardin has published Casanova’s translations of the Iliad into Italian and Venetian. If you ask nicely, he’ll even recite stanzas for you! I’m betting he’ll be celebrating C’s birthday with this recitation, too. Albert will also share this talent with us at the Casanova In Place Symposium, at the reception on 28 June at Galleria il Redentore. You can still register to join us!
