“The Sound of No Hands Clapping”

La Fenice in Venice is dark, as is pretty much every large venue, but the musicians play on!

I heard this radio item while commuting home from my school that is now closed due to the corona virus.

East Side schools are still open. We’ll see how long that lasts. We were at Mass this AM ( I was scheduled to read) and half the chairs in our chapel have been removed so as to allow for “social space.” It was strange.

THANK YOU KATHY FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL OFFERING…I AM SO MOVED AND YES I CRIED. I WILL SEND IT ALL OVER THE WORLD. STAY WELL AND STAY IN TOUCH. RITA

All venues like this are closed. The San Jose Symphony dropped its March 9 program and I won’t be surprised if the May 9 will be dropped. Oregon Shakespeare has dropped its season, opting for 5 (of 10) plays in the fall. What a blow to the actors, the OSF, and the town of Ashland.
