Where Am I?

I haven’t posted one of these in a long time! But this past August I found myself inside a gorgeous building. Can you guess where I am?

The view out the window of the sitting room
View from the top of the stairs overlooking the garden.

  1. Were you shopping for a palazzo? 🙂

    • Yeah, I had a few extra bucks in the bank and thought I’d get a new palace or two….

      • Shawn Von Ins says:

Palazzo Querini alla Carità 🙂 Views on Venice is located there. My wife and I have eaten at the little restaurant on the other side of that brick wall enclosing the garden. A lovely spot! Good bread sticks.

  2. Nancy W Schwalen says:

Well, obviously Venice but, someday, I may be able to name these places.

  3. Christian Mussap says:

Thank you. I have often wondered (dreamed) of the beautiful garden and palazzo behind that wall. I miss Venice.

    • When I went there, it took me a few minutes to figure out how to get in! I had passed that garden wall so many times and never thought of entering until I had an invitation to meet someone there. There are so many hidden gems behind these walls.

  4. Vince Gratzer says:

    Palazzo Contarini Corfù?

  5. Bert says:

Palazzo Contarini Corfù, also known as Palazzo Contarini degli Scrigni, but I was going to suggest you were in Heaven.

  6. Shawn has figured it out! Yes, I was visiting someone who works at Views on Venice, so that’s how I got to see this palace from the inside. Lucky me! But if you rent one of their properties, you’d get this opportunity too!
